Step-1: Installing Mind mapping app on monday.com
- Click here to reach installation page of mind mapping on monday.com.
- Choose your workspace and click on "install" to start your free trial(no credit card required).
or
- Go to monday.com.
- Click on your profile in the down-left corner.
- Click on ‘Apps marketplace” under the explore tab.
- Search for “Mind Mapping” in the marketplace.
- Click on the Mind Mapping App and add it to your account.
Step-2: Mind mapping view on monday.com workspace
- Open your workspace.
- Either create a new board or click on the board you want to see in the mind-mapping view.

- Click on the “+” sign on the right side of your Main Table.
- Click on “Apps” or "More views".
- Find Mindmap View and click “Open in board”.
- Give your mind map a name and start using mind mapping view on monday.com.

How do I create a Mind map?
Expanding and collapsing your map
Click on arrow on the right side of any node to expand or collapse your mind map.
Editing text on any node
Double-click or click on the pencil icon to edit the text on any node.
Adding nodes
1. Click on the + sign on the right end of a node to add a child node
2. Click on the + sign on the bottom of a group of nodes to add a sibling node
Re-arranging nodes with drag and drop
Hold the mouse down on a node and drag it to the desired drop zone on your mind map. You will see a small + icon near the mouse pointer when the node is ready to be dropped
Panning the canvas
When your map becomes large, you can move the canvas to the left or right by holding the mouse down and moving it
Zooming in and out of the canvas
You can zoom in and out of the canvas by using the toolbar on the left-bottom side or by pressing ctrl + mouse wheel
How do I sync my Mind map with monday.com
Turn nodes into tasks
You can click on more actions (...) and then on convert to monday.com item to convert them into tasks.
Getting task details
Click on the more actions icon (...) of any converted node to get it's details. Any changes made here are reflected on the main board and you can see assignees and status on the map too !
Task Updates
Click on the top-right callout icon of any node to see task updates. You can delete or disconnect a node or convert it to a monday.com item from here
Adding monday.com items to the mind map
Move you existing monday.com on the mind map using the search bar.
Keyboard Shortcuts
1. Use space key to edit a node
2. Use tab key to add a child node and enter key to add a sibling node
3. Use arrow key to explore the map, right arrow key takes you deeper in the map and left arrow key takes you closer to the root. You can navigate between siblings with the up and down key
